Dubai’s Spice Souk is a colourful, aromatic and sensory experience. Discover new flavours and recipes as you explore the traditional spice market in Dubai's heritage area. Savour the atmosphere of the past as you are introduced to the mounds of aromatic herbs and spices, all spilling from large baskets at every turn. Wander among many different stalls and chat to the vendors who will give you plenty of ideas on how you can use the exotic spices on offer.

Traverse Dubai Creek on a traditional abra boat
The bustling Dubai Creek has been the lifeblood of the city for generations and continues to attract visitors year-round. For just AED1 (US$0.27), you can hop aboard one of many traditional boats, known as abras, to cross the creek that separates Bur Dubai from Deira, Dubai’s city centre. The abras, or ‘water taxis’ run every few minutes throughout the day across four stations along Dubai Creek. Every crossing on the now-motorised boats only takes about five minutes. Simply buy a one-way ticket, or you can even hire your own abra for an hour to explore further up the waterway.

The world's tallest building and one of Dubai's top attractions
The Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world and a global icon. Truly a feat of engineering, the building represents the conceptual heart and soul of the city of Dubai. At 828m tall, this magnificent structure is located next to Dubai Mall and has drawn visitors from all over the world since opening in 2010. For a truly special time, visitors can choose to dine in the restaurant and lounge At.mosphere on the 122nd floor, or experience new heights at The Lounge, Burj Khalifa, which is spread across floors 152, 153 and 154, making it the tallest lounge on the planet.

Make underwater discoveries at Dubai Mall
Want to explore one of the largest and most stunning aquariums in the world? Don’t miss the giant 10 million-litre tank at the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo, which contains more than 33,000 aquatic animals and the largest collection of sand tiger sharks anywhere. There are numerous ways for visitors to experience the main Aquarium tank, which measures 51m in length, 20m in width, and 11m in height, and is one of the largest suspended aquariums on the planet.

Marvel at the beauty of the dancing fountains
Witness the tallest performing fountain in the world during your visit to Downtown Dubai. The Dubai Fountain offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to immerse yourself in a captivating water, music and light experience. Submerged within the 30-acre Burj Lake, at the foot of Dubai Mall, powerful water jets are laid out over an area equal to the size of two football pitches.
