Warayaki-style cooking in a high-end Japanese spot

From acclaimed chef Ross Shonhan – formerly of Nobu London and currently the power behind London’s Flesh and Buns – Netsu, located at the Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, is best-known for its sense of theatre. If you love watching chefs in action, this is the place to go.

The high-end restaurant specialises in the traditional Japanese cooking technique of warayakiya – straw fire cooking. The central kitchen is a highlight (expect roaring flames) so don’t miss the grills while you’re there. The sushi is top-notch too, and the restaurant itself is Japanese fine dining at its sleekest.

Japanese steakhouse vibes at Netsu

Take advantage of the stunning terrace overlooking the water during the cooler months, or retreat indoors to take in the full chef-driven show. You'll find plenty to savour in the menu, that features everything from a Millionaire's rice featuring uni and truffles, to crispy Korean Fried Chicken and signature maki rolls.

Peruse signature dishes with decadent ingredients like wagyu and foie gras topped nigiri sushi or simpler salmon teriyaki. There are lots of options for vegans and vegetarians too. Steak lovers will be thrilled with the selection of meat, served with your choice of sauces and grilled to perfection.
